Jorge Chávez

Part-time professor in the Academic Department of Economics at Universidad del Pacífico. He is a Phd (c) in Economics from University of Warwick (United Kingdom), M.A. in Economics from Pennsylvania State University (United States) and obtained his Bachelor´s degree in Economics at Universidad del Pacífico.
His research interests are focus on international trade, development economics and political economy. He was a research fellow at the Inter- American Development Bank (Washington, DC) and a project coordinator and senior analyst at the Peruvian Institute of Economics. Some of his publications include: “Export Subsidies in Emerging Markets During the Great Trade Collapse”, “Success in sustainability? The case of Peru”, “The impact of the drawback on the performance of Peruvian exporting companies”, among others.
