New Innovation Model in Chinese Enterprises; Strategies in Times of Pandemic
Description:
The COVID-19 pandemic restricted many in-person activities across society, thereby isolating citizens. However, the Chinese market has continued to consume by way of innovative strategies involving online channels, recording rapid growth while the virus continued to spread. Thus, innovation and digitalization have emerged as new resources with which companies can adapt to the environment to mitigate the effects of the pandemic and sustain their competitive advantage. This proposal focuses on innovation in China and the lessons learned, such as the strategies implemented by companies that successfully adapted to the pandemic and an understanding of the need for joint work between society and government. This study makes a theoretical contribution that provides a glimpse into the new innovation processes embraced by Chinese companies, as well as serving as a model for the implementation of strategies at the corporate and public-policy levels.
