Cynthia Sanborn, current Vice President for Research at Universidad del Pacífico, conducted this study with Rebecca Ray, Kevin Gallagher and Andrés López in the framework of the Global Economic Governance Initiative of Boston University. The study examines the balance of the socio–environmental impact of Chinese investments and commercial ties with Latin America. This research was published in English in April 2015 by BU, the Center for Transformation Research, Tufts University and UP. The Spanish version was published by the UP’s University Press and BU in June 2016. The Second Vice President of the Republic, Mercedes Aráoz, the Minister of the Environment, Elsa Galarza, and the co-editors of UP and BU participated in the event organized for its launch in Lima, in September, 2016.
