Universidad del Pacífico (2026). "Puerto de Chancay en su primer año: Conectado al mar, ¿de espaldas a la ciudad? https://cechap.up.edu.pe/wp-content/uploads/InformeChancay-2.pdf
The purpose of this report is to document the trajectory of the Port of Chancay during its first year following its inauguration. Given data availability, cargo and revenue information is analyzed from November 2024 to November 2025, while trade-related data is considered up to October 2025. This report not only focuses on operations within the port itself, but also seeks to identify the challenges faced by the residents of Chancay in their aspirations for improved human development, urban conditions, and economic opportunities. In this regard, it provides evidence to identify the challenges posed by this new infrastructure as it reshapes cargo flows, foreign trade dynamics, and the maritime services network in the Pacific.
