The Universidad del Pacifico presents the Chancay Observatory, a forum that brings together experts from the Research Center (CIUP) and the Center for China and Asia-Pacific Studies (CECHAP) to address the impacts and opportunities of the Chancay megaproject. This multidisciplinary group analyzes the implications of this key project for Peru from economic, social, environmental, logistical, urban, and geopolitical perspectives.
The Chancay Observatory at the Universidad del Pacifico reaffirms our commitment to the country’s sustainable development, highlighting the importance of rigorous research and informed dialogue as pillars for building a prosperous future.
The “Chancay Observatory Reports” aim to provide a medium- and long-term perspective on the challenges facing this infrastructure in relation to its logistical goals, its contribution to foreign trade, and its impact on the national port system and the west coast of South America.
As more information becomes available, new topics and trends will be included to contribute to sound policy decisions and public and private investment.
