Universidad del Pacifico (2025). "The Chancay Effect: Changes in Cargo, Trade, and the Port Network." https://cechap.up.edu.pe/wp-content/uploads/InformeChancay-1.pdf
The purpose of this report is to provide an initial assessment of the performance and impacts of the Port of Chancay during its first six months of operation. This period, which includes the granting of the official operating permit on June 1, 2025, unfolds in a context of expanding Peruvian foreign trade. The report seeks to identify how this new port infrastructure is reshaping cargo flows, foreign trade dynamics, and the maritime services network in the Pacific, as well as to explore its effects at both the regional and national levels.
