CECHAP Director and Associate Director visit China
Between May 20 and 28, Cynthia Sanborn and José Carlos Feliciano, Director, and Associate Director of CECHAP, traveled to Beijing and Shanghai to strengthen existing contacts, as well as explore new opportunities for academic exchange and collaboration.
During their stay in Beijing, they held meetings with several institutions, including the Ford Foundation Beijing Office, the Institute for New Structural Economics (INSE) of Peking University, the School of International Studies of Peking University, the Center for Latin American Business Studies and the Institute of Energy, Environment and Economy of Tsinghua University, the Embassy of Peru in China, Renmin University, the Institute of Latin American Studies (ILAS-CASS), the Institute of World Economics and Politics (IWEP-CASS) and the Institute for Quantitative and Technical Economics (IQTE-CASS).
In Shanghai, they held meetings with representatives of the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS). Additionally, at Fudan University, they visited the Fudan Development Institute, the Secretariat of the Fudan Latin America University Consortium, and had meetings with professors from the Department of Political Science and International Relations.
These visits significantly contribute to strengthening CECHAP’s international relations and opening new ways for cooperation in several academic and research areas.
