CECHAP participates in the Global South Media and Think Tanks Forum
The Global South Media and Think Tanks Forum held on November 11 and 12 took place in the city of São Paulo, Brazil. This event, organized by the Xinhua News Agency of China, brought together more than 350 participants from 170 organizations from various sectors, including media, think tanks, governments and companies from 70 countries. Claudia Cáceres, head of Communications and Academic Events, participated in this event on behalf of the Center for China and Asia-Pacific Studies.
This forum represented a space to establish dialogues and exchanges with the aim of promoting cooperation for a future in communications and digital platforms worldwide. It also presented a platform for cultural exchange and cooperation between the media and think tanks of the Global South. Finally, a research report entitled “Innovation in Local Currency Cooperation Among Global South Nations” was presented on monetary cooperation in the Global South, especially in the case of Brazil and China.
In addition to CECHAP, Peru was represented by representatives of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, Editora Perú, the Peruvian Institute of Radio and Television, the newspaper Gestión and the La República group. Cáceres’s participation highlights CECHAP’s commitment to promote exchange between national and international actors through the production and transmission of scientific knowledge.
