CECHAP Participates in the International Forum China–Latin America: Perspectives and Debates

On April 23 and 24, the Center for China and Asia-Pacific Studies (CECHAP) participated in the International Forum China–Latin America: Perspectives and Debates. The event was organized by the Korea and East Asia Studies Program at FLACSO Ecuador, in collaboration with the Andrés Bello Foundation’s China-Latin America Research Center and the Universidad San Francisco de Quito. The forum featured prominent speakers, including academics, researchers, and journalists from Latin America, the United States, China, and Asia, who discussed China–Latin America relations from political, economic, environmental, and cultural perspectives.
José Carlos Feliciano, Associate Director of CECHAP, was invited to Quito, Ecuador, to take part in the forum. He joined the panel “Information and Communication Technologies,” alongside Renato Balderrama from the Center for Research and Teaching in Economics (CIDE) from Mexico, and Pablo Cabrera and Francisco Rodríguez from FLACSO Ecuador, where he gave the presentation “Digitalization in China: Lessons and Opportunities.” CECHAP’s participation in this forum reaffirms its commitment to promote academic analysis and international dialogue and strengthens its position as a regional leader in the study of China in Latin America.
