CECHAP welcomed a delegation from the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS)

On Monday, September 22, 2025, the Center for China and Asia-Pacific Studies (CECHAP) welcomed a delegation from the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS), composed of Dr. Niu Haibin, Director of the Institute for Foreign Policy Studies and the Center for Latin America Studies, SIIS; Wang Yuzhu, Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of World Economy Studies; and Dr. Lou Xiangfei, Senior Research Fellow at the Center for Latin America Studies and the Institute for Foreign Policy Studies.
The delegation was received by Dr. Mario Chong, Professor at Universidad del Pacifico (UP); Dr. Cynthia Sanborn, Director of CECHAP; Jose Carlos Feliciano, Associate Director of the Center; as well as CECHAP researchers Leonino Dourado, Omar Narrea, Antonio Pagan, and Kehan Wang.
During the meeting, the visitors shared their perspectives on key issues in the Peru–China relationship, with particular emphasis on the academic analysis of the Port of Chancay from a Peruvian perspective. The CECHAP and UP team also actively contributed to the discussion, fostering a constructive and enriching dialogue.
