Center Researchers, Christian Libaque and Gabriel Arrieta, publish articles in Política Internacional journal
On August 14, affiliated researchers Christian Libaque and Gabriel Arrieta, published two academic articles in the special issue for the 60th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Peru and Korea, in the journal Política Internacional de la Academia Diplomática del Perú Javier Pérez de Cuéllar.
Christian Libaque published the article “Strategies to reduce the digital divide in Peru: lessons from the Republic of Korea”. The article analyzes the situation of the digital divide in Peru, as well as the policies established by the Republic of Korea to reduce it. Korea was chosen as a reference since it is one of the leading countries in technological issues. The results show the complex nature of this phenomenon and suggest recommendations to the Peruvian government based on Korean best practices.
Gabriel Arrieta published the article “Trade relations between Peru and the Republic of Korea: past, present and doors of opportunities for the future”. In the article, from a Peruvian perspective, he characterizes the past and present evolution of export and import flows with Korea for the period between 1965 and 2022, using information available in national and international databases that allow understanding the bilateral trade structure, as well as highlighting the main trade trends.
