Director of the Center participated in the Seminar: “Prospective Vision of the Latin American and Caribbean Integration” (Seminario “Visión Prospectiva de la Integración Latinoamericana y Caribeña”)
The Permanent Secretariat of the Latin American and Caribbean Economic System (SELA) and the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) jointly organized the seminar in Mexico City on March 7th 2018, with leading international specialists who analyzed the evolution of regional and sub-regional integration schemes, emphasizing issues such as: the efforts being made in this regard, the measurement instruments, the challenges and perspectives of Latin America and the Caribbean. It is noteworthy that, within the framework of the seminar, Dr. Santa Gadea, Director of the Center, presented a paper on the economic integration in the Pacific Rim, thus giving greater perspective to this geographical area which is, at present, the engine of the world economy.
