Japanese Embassy Officials Participated in UP Classes

On February 6, the course “Technological Entrepreneurship in China and the Asia-Pacific,” led by José Carlos Feliciano, Associate Director of CECHAP, welcomed the participation of Ryo Ito, Cultural Attaché of the Embassy of Japan, and Rafael Carrasco, local officer and scholarship advisor at the Embassy of Japan. They delivered a presentation on the Monbukagakusho (MEXT) scholarship, offered by Japan’s Ministries of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology. The presentation covered key aspects such as the requirements, benefits, and application process of the scholarship, informing students about this opportunity to study in Japan.
During the session, participants also had the chance to engage in a discussion with Mr. Ito about the future of Peru-Japan relations, clarifying doubts and exploring different perspectives on the topic. Mr. Ito then shared his insights on cultural differences between the two countries, encouraging students to take advantage of undergraduate and graduate study opportunities in Japan.
In addition to students enrolled in the course, the session was attended by members of Kazoku UP, a student club that promotes Japanese culture and language practice at Universidad del Pacífico. Club members had the opportunity to speak with the Embassy officials to explore potential cooperation initiatives in benefit of the university’s community.
