Jose Carlos Feliciano Participates in APEC Seminar on the Internationalization of Science and Technology in Shenzhen, China
From November 13 to 14, 2025, the Seminar on Strengthening the Internationalisation of Science and Technology and Promoting the Construction of an Open Innovation Ecosystem in the Asia-Pacific Region was held in Shenzhen. The event, hosted at the Talents Center of the Shenzhen Talent Institute, brought together authorities, specialists, and representatives from various APEC economies to exchange experiences on science and technology policies, international cooperation, and the promotion of open innovation ecosystems in the region.
Representing CECHAP, Deputy Director Jose Carlos Feliciano Nishikawa participated as a speaker in the session dedicated to sharing national experiences, presenting the Peruvian case in his talk titled “Share Peru’s Science and Technology Internationalization Practices.”
The seminar featured presentations on scientific innovation policies and international cooperation tools, as well as the dissemination of results from the Asia-Pacific Open Innovation Index. In addition, panel discussions were held on the challenges and opportunities faced by the region’s economies in internationalizing scientific work and building more open and collaborative innovation ecosystems.
The event was organized by the National Center for Science and Technology Evaluation, with support from the China Association of Science and Technology Evaluation and Management of Scientific and Technical Achievement, and the Shenzhen Center for International Exchange of Personnel. The CECHAP’s participation reaffirms the institution’s commitment to promoting dialogue and international cooperation in science, technology, and innovation for the development of the Asia-Pacific region.
