Project funded by the Center for China and Asia Pacific Studies achieves Huawei ICT Academy certification

Universidad del Pacífico has been certified as a partner of the Huawei ICT Academy, a cooperation project between higher education institutions and Huawei that aims for building an ecosystem of talent in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) that meets the requirements of the industry.

This recognition was granted within the framework of the project “Development of technological capabilities in the Internet of things, home automation and 5G at Universidad del Pacífico” funded by the Center for China and Asia-Pacific Studies of UP.

Through this certification, university teachers and students will be able to be trained in ICT Infrastructure courses (IOT, Cloud Computing, AI, Big Data) and Cloud Service and Platform (5G), to access three different levels of certification ( associate, professional and expert) valid worldwide.

The research project “Development of technological capabilities in the Internet of things, home automation and 5G at the Universidad del Pacífico” seeks to develop skills in the students of Universidad del Pacífico in the management and knowledge of new technologies such as the Internet of things, home automation and 5G connections, both in the technical part (how they work) and in their application in business. In addition, it seeks to explore potential uses (possibilities for collaboration and technology transfer) in our reality that in the future can be translated into projects or hardware-based ventures that aim to improve the performance of organizations and generate a positive impact on society.
