Research trip to China as part of “Innovation Capabilities in Chinese Industry” project
From October 19 to November 5, 2023, our research affiliates David Mayorga and Jorge Tello undertook a research trip to China in order to learn directly about the development of innovation within Chinese seven companies in the cities of Beijing, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou.
In Beijing, our researchers discussed topics such as innovation strategies and product development with executives from innovators Gezhouba Group, Sinopharm, and Xiaomi, as well as visiting the Chinese Academy of Science and Technology for Development (CASTED) and the China Institute of Atomic Energy (CIAE).
Likewise, our delegation held meetings with representatives of Honor, ZTE, and Huawei in Shenzhen, and of GAC Motor in Guangzhou. The experience served to deepen understanding of Chinese industrial capacity and will allow us to identify lessons that Peruvian industry can learn.
