The Center receives a visit from the Philippine Ambassador
On February 5, the UP Center for China and Asia-Pacific Studies (CECHAP)—represented by deputy director José Carlos Feliciano and Dr. Arlette Beltrán, the vice president for research at UP—received the concurrent ambassador of the Philippines to Peru, Ms. Celeste Vinzon-Balatbat, accompanied by the consul general, Jim Tito San Agustín and the honorary consul, Alfonso Álvarez Calderón.
During the visit, the two parties explored possibilities for academic exchange and collaboration with Filipino institutions, in addition to promoting activities to mark the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Peru and the Philippines, which falls this year.
