Third Webinar Organized with Renmin University

On the evening of Wednesday, June 5th (in Peru), Professor Joanna Kámiche, Director of the Research Center at Universidad del Pacífico, participated as the main speaker in a webinar for students and professors of Renmin University of China. This virtual conference was part of the activities that our Center conducts with a team of professors from the School of Agricultural Economics and Rural Development of said institution, which also involves collaboration for joint research between our professors.

In the webinar, Professor Kámiche presented the study: “Do Poverty Conditions Contribute to Degrading the Environment? An Analysis of Waste Management Decisions.” This research aims to analyze the role of poverty in waste management and suggests that poverty conditions increase the likelihood of making waste separation decisions under the concept of a necessity-driven circular economy.

This academic exchange was the third and final webinar scheduled for Chinese students and researchers at Renmin University this year. It was attended by undergraduate and graduate students, as well as professors from the aforementioned School, which is one of the most prestigious in the Asian giant.
