Director of the Center visited the ambassador of Peru in China within the framework of the 2018 academic mission to that country
The Center conducts annual academic missions to China in order to form a network of contacts with institutions in that country as a basis for carrying out joint activities. In July 2018, several visits were made taking advantage of the participation of the Director in a seminar for “The Belt and Road” Initiative countries. The academic mission consisted of six meetings with experts and/or authorities of three prestigious Chinese universities (Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China and University of International Business and Economics-UIBE), a think-thank (Institute of World Economics and Politics -IWEP of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences -CASS), an academic association (Community of Chinese and Latin American Studies – CECLA) and senior Peruvian diplomatic representatives. Within this framework, Dr. Santa Gadea, accompanied by Professor Julio Aguirre, from the UP Department of Economics, visited the Ambassador of Peru in the People’s Republic of China, His Excellency Mr. Luis Quesada, and had the opportunity to exchange views on the perspectives of the relationship of Peru with the aforementioned Asian country.
