Professor Julio Aguirre and Dr. Santa Gadea were invited to participate in a seminar on China’s development issues for countries of the “Belt and Road” initiative in Beijing and other Chinese cities
This seminar took place from June 28th to July 18th, 2018 in Beijing and other chinese cities, such as Kunming (Yunnan Province in southern China). It was organized by the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) and sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of China. Among the topics discussed in the seminar were the new driving forces of China’s development, the reorientation of its industrialization, the scope of the “The Belt and Road” Initiative, the foreign trade challenges of the Asian country, the structural reforms and China’s macroeconomics, among other aspects. Presentations were in charge of distinguished academic experts from the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
