The Center participates in the “Case Studies on China Business” program
From January 9 to 13, 2023, the Center took part in the “Case Studies on China Business” program, an academic exchange held by the Guanghua School of Management at Peking University aimed at international professors and researchers involved in case writing and its application in university teaching, as well as those academics interested in business strategies in China.
The program sought to provide insights into the development of business in China through case studies, as well as presenting resources and tools for participants to incorporate into their teaching or research. The virtual training week was attended by 50 academics from more than 28 countries, who were selected from more than 500 applicants. The sessions included five study topics and more than nine business cases on China, covering the fields of fintech, digital marketing, lean service management, the global outlook of the Chinese economy, and China’s development and future.
David Mayorga, principal professor and head of the academic department of marketing and international business at UP as well as research affiliate at the UP Center for China and Asia-Pacific Studies, and José Carlos Feliciano Nishikawa, deputy director of the Center, participated in the program and the sessions led by professors in the Guanghua School of Management at Peking University.
